Factorio Runs!

Factorio

YAY! I can play Factorio on this crappy laptop! It doesn’t play great, a little stuttery but definitely playable. Because of this I’ve continued growing my factory. I’ve tapped into a new patch of copper ore and begun setting up purple science production.

With purple automated I began working on my oil and plastic production. For oil, I changed my refinery to use the advanced oil processing recipe and added a couple of chemical plans to break everything down to petroleum gas through cracking. I moved my plastic production so it could expand and belted it to the rest of my factory.

As the factory grows I am now in the process of automating the final science, yellow. I’m sitting at 108 of the maximum 111 manually crafted items. Still have not researched laser turrets, logistic system, or solar panels. Just a few more items to add to the factory and I’ll be ready to work on the rocket! Once that launches I’ll get me four new achievements.

Locksmith

Even though it’s overcast I was still sweating up a storm at the awesome house. We finally got new locks so we don’t have to deal with a unique key for each door. I spent the morning replacing the locks there. It wasn’t extremely hard work once I got it figured out. Just had to remove one screw and turn the lock slightly then the lock slid out.

Blood Moon

I’m really disappointed that I totally fucked up last night. I wanted to get some pictures of the blood moon, and everything I saw said January 21. Just didn’t realize it was really last night. . . I could still get a pretty epic picture of the moon tonight, but I’m sad I missed out.

Well, I did try to get some pictures of the moon after dark but they ended up just looking like a white circle on a black background. I think I need to do some research about how to properly take a picture of the moon in the dark. I’ve gotten a few daytime pictures of the moon that look great though.

Stardew Valley

Even with all the Factorio, I still found time to play Stardew Valley! I’ve completed the first upgrade to my house and made it through fall. I just need a few more items now to complete the community center too. It’ll take some time though.

Featured Image

Today’s featured image is a daytime shot of the moon. I love the definition of this photo so you can actually see features on the surface. Wish I could get a good picture like this after dark though.
