Lots of Arrivals

Arrival Prep

Late arrivals, last minute booking, shopping, and someone coming in from off island to look at the water heaters next door. It’s been a busy day. We started early with picking up some groceries for our guests and opening up their villa.

Once that was complete we headed to get the guy coming from Tortola to look at the water heaters from hell. These solar water heaters have been nothing but trouble since they were installed. Even after he was done we still had more issues, likely they need new thermostats now.

Greetings

We spent a good time waiting for our guests to arrive. Two separate groups coming for the same villa. While we were waiting we got a call about some boaters who just came across the Atlantic looking for a place to stay for the night. I also helped a couple of lizards find their way back into the grass from the poolside bar.

After they finally showed up we showed them around the villa. Luckily we were off the hook for the second half of their group. They’ve got someone else to meet and greet them and show them where they need to be. They all seem to be a fairly fun bunch.

Our next stop was to meet the last minute booking. By the time we arrived they had already made themselves at home and put the pool to good use. A quick introduction (and even quicker payment) and we were done and headed back home.

More Work

Of course, first thing upon getting back home I had to enter their payment into QuickBooks. While I was at it I did a little more entry on some stuff I had. Just a few checks for power, water, and internet bills. I got that shit done in no time!

Google Ads

Of course, with the holidays coming up, we need bookings! So I’ve modified an old ad I had running on Google. I’ve added new text, and changed some ad extensions. When I did that, I didn’t realize the ad extensions run for the whole campaign and not just the ad group. Oops! I’ll have to redo those once I stop this ad.

I think at some point I’ll need to actually setup multiple campaigns that I can turn on and off as I need them. Maybe I can even schedule them automatically to run? I’m not sure about that. But having more than just the one campaign will likely do me good.

Featured Image

Today’s featured image is another cloud. I have a feeling I might be overdoing clouds, but they’re so easy to find and shoot! I promise I’ll try to find other subjects. Remember, I’m still an amateur photographer so I may not have quite the right eye for scenes yet.
