Minecraft Monday

Morning

Ugh, woke up and didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. I’m feeling dehydrated from all the drinking yesterday. Hopefully some coffee will help. Three heaping spoonfuls of sugar and caramel macchiato flavored creamer. As I sit and sip I can’t help but think about finishing my skeleton grinder in Minecraft.

I’m looking at my Google Ads again, and yesterday all my money was spent on six clicks at 6am that did nothing for us. Maybe I should put my CPC way back down again. . . . Yeah, back down to where it was at $.21. I’ll let this bid strategy finish learning, then pick a few keywords I’d like to pay a competitive rate for, and leave the rest really low.

Our bookings are picking up, we just got another inquiry! The new booking system is working out great. It used to be that to book anything we had to actually be in touch with people directly, manually calculate prices, and go back and forth with the guests. Now they can get a quote and book without any interaction.

Oh my, there is no water right now, not even a trickle! I was really looking forward to a shower because I feel so icky. About the only thing I can do at this point is put on more deodorant. I guess if it doesn’t come back today there’s always the pool!

We made an early run by a couple of the villas. One was to check on a broken water pipe. Seems a coconut fell out of a tree and snapped off a pressure gauge attached to the main water supply. The fix shouldn’t be too bad, just need the plumber to come out and take care of that. Afterwards we went by to check out how the roofing is going at another villa. So far they’re still just stripping off the old roof.

Minecraft

This project to dig out around the spawner is much bigger than I originally anticipated. It’s coming along nicely though, only have 4 or 5 blocks depth left to dig on each of the four walls. At this point though I’m not exactly sure how to get out. I’ve added some walls that blocked the path I took to and from the surface. Once I’m ready to head back up there I should be able to find it easily enough with a little bit of digging.

So far I’ve filled an entire double chest with stone and am about halfway to filling a second. I’ve picked up at least a stack each of gold and iron. I did shut the spawner off while working though. It is so much easier to see when it’s active if it’s lit up and not blocked by water. I’m not sure if I really want to add a path to the surface from this spawner. I may just put a ladder to the surface under the witch hut.

Afternoon

We took my car over to the mechanic to have it checked out. Before we left I made sure the oil and water levels were okay since I was warned of leaks, but they seem just fine. Every turn I took the CV joint was clicking away. The whole time the car was moving there was a grinding sound. I have a feeling that car will need more repairs than we’re willing to pay for.

Cultist Simulator just went on sale on Steam for 25% off. It’s a title I’ve been interested in for a while and so I bought it. I’m very happy that it’s available for Mac, already installed and ready to play!

More Minecraft

I had previously shut off the spawner while I was working and my pick was getting low so I needed to turn it back on. Problem is that I had to get rid of the stone bricks surrounding it so I could see if I was in range to activate the spawner. So I made my way back to the surface to get some supplies, glass really, to encase the spawner a little so I could turn it back on to repair.

I’ve almost filled my second double chest of stone. Only a little bit more left to go. Now that I’ve dug out so much of the area, I think I’m going to end up making a platform above the killing floor to house the enchanting, brewing, and storage. With the way the bowl is shaped there just isn’t enough flat area to build those things. But the charge on the Switch is dwindling now so I must take a break.

Evening

After letting the Switch charge for a bit I felt I needed to at least finish shaping the skeleton grinder room in Minecraft. It really didn’t take too long to do. Now I need to pretty it up a little bit by replacing the odd block with stone, fill in a few holes, and smooth the ceiling. But that’s all going to have to wait as the battery is low once again.

Upon retiring to my room I was happy to find that water had been restored somewhat. I took a quick rinse and cooled off. The shower was absolutely refreshing.

Preacher – Spoiler Warning

Yeah, that ain’t God. . . You should know better Tulip. Okay, maybe it was. He sure is a dick. Careful what you reveal Cass. Uh oh, things are gonna get bad for him. Why can’t Jesse and Cassidy communicate properly? So many issues could be avoided.

I still don’t quite understand what’s with the tombs. I’m sure they’ll explain it soon enough. Why you gonna do that to poor TC? Yikes! Oh no, the chicken! Damnit Cassidy, why won’t you listen? This is a bad idea Tulip. Ah, so the tombs is a fight club. Got it.

Onward to the next episode! Oh boy, back to Hell and the Saint. Haha, I did the Devil. I wonder if we’re going to see Eugene again. Madam Boyd is Jesse’s ex? No wonder Grandma doesn’t approve! Sure seems like Jesse has a type.

Why you coming back Cass? Man, two seasons looking for God and now you can’t keep him away. Yay, Tulip understood, I was worried she might get all bent out of shape. Oh boy, the Saint is gonna be topside again? Fun!
