The Amazing House

Temporary Home

Early yesterday evening I made my way up to where I’ll be staying for the next week(ish). It’s a delightful villa that’s in the last stages of being fixed up for renting. This is the same house I stayed in right after DragonCon. One of the biggest bonuses is that I have air conditioning!

So far I’ve had the place all to myself, but I’m sure I’ll be disturbed at some point by people coming to work on it. The place does have a few quirks, but nothing major. The biggest issue I’ve had so far is the lack of toaster, I brought bagels to eat for breakfast while I’m here . . .

Blog Format

As you can see, I’ve already changed formats, didn’t bother waiting for the end of the week. It’s my site, I can do what I want! I think I might try to keep posts sectioned off and just add to sections as I want to add more to the post. I haven’t tried that format yet. Like, if I talk about Stardew Valley, I’ll have a header for that, then text below that will expand as I want to talk more about it.

Further Updates

I’m wondering if I should add new smaller headers when I go back to a section and add more. What do you think? So like I typed a paragraph or two about Stardew Valley below then came back up here to add more to this.

Stardew Valley

Speaking of Stardew Valley, I’ve already jumped in and played a few more days. I’m such a newb and I don’t even remember everything I’d previously done. Eventually I’ll get myself a good farm going, but I spend so much energy just watering my plants!

There’s still so much to the game I haven’t even discovered yet too. Mostly I’ve just been watering my farm and hitting the mine. Don’t have a lot of money, but I have a feeling once I get my next harvest I’ll be rich! Well, sort of.

Progress

Well, I guess money really doesn’t come that quick. Although I do have a tendency to spend it quickly too. Made it down past level 60 in the mines. My skills have been getting worked too, although none are very high. I’ve been slowly collecting everything I can to complete more bundles but it’s slow going.

The game is really frustrating when you die in the mines. Losing a sword worth thousands is painful. Luckily it’s only happened a couple of times so far, although I’d like it to never happen again.

I made it into the fall without too many mistakes. I have my my fall crops (not counting the corn from summer) setup in a decently maximized pattern with sprinklers and a scarecrow. It’s got a few different crops, hopefully I didn’t screw anything up.
