Around The Valley

Work

For work this morning I did a lap around The Valley. Started off by picking up shipping paperwork. After that, two laps around the dock looking for parking. After giving up on that I headed to the government building to get the inspection sticker for the truck.

DMV

You think your DMV is bad? Here there are no lines. Just random people waiting, maybe for the DMV, maybe for something else altogether. At least the wait have me time to get over my anxiety by practicing what I was going to say. Got the inspection sticker for the truck, then had to take it to some other guy to apply it. He had to run off to find a scraper to remove the old sticker. . .

Of course he came back without one, and then drove off with someone to take a quick driving test. As it turns out, there was another guy there the whole time who got me taken care of.

Customs

I was lucky enough to find a parking spot this time. My first step was to put eyes on the freight to see if we would need use of a forklift. Luckily we’ll be able to move it all in a couple of loads with a truck. So then it was time to wait at customs to deal with payment and paperwork. It’s a pretty straightforward process, just takes a little time.

While I was there I stopped next door at the ferry office to check on a delivery that was sent from Tortola on Tuesday. They knew nothing about it but suggested I go check the yard. I was happy to find my fifty pound bag of sodium bicarbonate was still there!

Delivery

My next stop was to deliver some linens to a housekeeper prepping one of our villas. It didn’t take all that long to get done. My trip home completed the full circle of The Valley.

Stardew Valley

After a quick bite for lunch it was time to tour a different valley! And what a good few days it was. I made so much money I upgraded my pack to the biggest possible. Also, I built four recycling machines to finally start dealing with all the trash I collected. And on top of all that I hit level five in fishing and mining!

I’ve made it through my first Summer! I’m ready for the fall too, I’ve got loads of cash to buy seeds with and a bunch of sprinklers to place. It took until the last day of Summer to catch the last fish I needed from the season. Things on the farm are spectacular and getting even better every day.

Today’s featured image is of a sail cruise ship. I just loved seeing this ship out on the horizon and felt like it would make a great image for this site. We get a lot of cruise ships around here but ones with sails are more rare.
