Broken Pages

Gallery

Almost every photo I take for this site ends up in my Gallery. Every time I added a new photo to a blog post I would diligently update the gallery and think nothing more. Eventually, the Elementor plugin for WordPress I was using to edit that page stopped working properly. I couldn’t edit the page and I had to find a way to fix that.

As time went on, things were okay and I kept updating everything as I had before with no issues. That is, until today. I decided to take a look at the gallery for some reason and found that the page wouldn’t load, at all. No idea why, it looks great in the editor preview. So I’ve had to go and completely recreate my Gallery using Gutenberg instead.

It took a little while, but it’s all good to go now. I had to update my menus, do a little playing with HTML to get it working (and looking) the way I wanted. But overall I’m pleased with how it has turned out. I’m kind of glad I didn’t pay for Elementor Pro. I would have been disappointed to have so many issues after paying that much money.

If you haven’t checked out the Gallery yet, you should. You can see all the images I use in my site’s header a lot better. I guess I really should check out all my active pages from time to time to make sure they keep working the way they should.

With all these photos I’m taking and posting, I think I may end up adding a new section to my blog posts. Dedicate a little spot at the end for the image and information about it? Let’s see how it works out with this post.

Work

Went on over to one of our villas to get it ready for the owner’s arrival. The place is in bad shape. Not much has been done to repair it since the hurricane over a year ago. We basically turned on a few lights and removed the lock from the front door.

After that, we headed over to another villa to check on the status of work being done there. The workers were busy getting the last couple of new doors installed. Still a lot of work to be done there but it’s really coming along nicely.

Our last stop was to help the guest that came in last night. He couldn’t figure out how to work the coffee maker. It really was a single button press to start brewing, but I guess he got impatient because it is a bit slow in starting. Once the brew began we headed back home for lunch.

This is just a quick photo I shot. Dark morning clouds allowing rays of sunlight to stream over the ocean.
