Deferred Dragoncon

Monday

Work

A busy start to a new week. First was my usual house checks, with one extra added in. All was well for the most part, but the extra house has an empty pool in anticipation of resurfacing. After that was picking up and dropping off some paperwork for a shipment. Once I was back home I began working on my work permit renewal. Filled everything out, but now I gotta turn it in. That’s the tricky part, not sure when they’re accepting and whether I need an appointment or not.

I also had to get the handyman going on a propane refill for some long-term tenants. Interestingly enough I got a call from them just before he got here. They wanted a receipt for their rent payment. I printed a thing out of QuickBooks, hopefully it will be good enough.

Dragoncon

It is now official. Dragoncon has been cancelled for 2020. Really, it’s the best thing for everyone. I wouldn’t have been able to make it, but with the world the way it is the con shouldn’t happen. It looks like they’re working on a way to make a virtual con, free for everyone. When I know more I’ll share.

Tuesday

Work

So much I should be doing, but I just can’t motivate myself at all. I need to go pick up paperwork for that shipment then clear it. Also need to get my work permit renewal going. I need to do other stuff too, but I just can’t

Movies

So instead I’ve gone through and updated my Movies Page. My hard drive was filling up so I needed to delete stuff. Can’t delete a movie I’ve watched until I’ve noted it. Course, there was a bunch of TV shows to delete too. Luckily, I’ve found a few new series I can check out. I’ll let you know what I think.

Wednesday

Work

Guests left, so I made a quick trip down to the house. Grabbed some garbage, turned off some lights and AC. Once that was done I headed out and dealt with another step of the shipment.

Television

Two good shows, The Society and Avenue 5. I have watched the entirety of both shows now and can say they are quite enjoyable. I really wish they’d produce more episodes though. Used to be a season was 26 episodes, now it’s 8 or 10? At least the quality in such short seasons is stellar.

Thursday

Work

Started early today. Ran out with some stuff to do. Finished the clearing of that shipment, but I have to get my handyman to get it in his truck. Not something I could deal with myself. I paid a bill, couldn’t pay the other since the place was closed.

Pool Day (Friday)

Pools

What a day. . . Not too bad though. I started out getting gas, I had let my truck run empty. Then stopped for some laundry detergent for tomorrow’s departure. After that was filling the water bottles. When that was all finally done it was time to start on pools.

Once again it was a fairly easy service all around. Was basically done by lunch, although I had to run out later to shut off some water. Just a quick test and balance at all the houses. A small amount of actual cleaning.

Saturday

Accounting

Time to catch up on accounting. It wasn’t too bad, even though there was a decent amount to do. In all I spent less than an hour catching up. Entered a few checks and cash expenses. Entered a couple of guest payments. Got all employee time and pay in.

Sunday

Mindhunter

Finished bingeing this series. I didn’t really think it was going to be my kind of show but in the end I’ve really enjoyed it. Only two seasons so far, but I’m pretty sure there’s more to come, someday. I need to find another show with a few seasons to start watching, suggestions?

Featured Image

This week’s featured image is once again a throwback! Some really nice dark clouds over the ocean.
