Technical Support

Work

IT

Two separate IT incidents with internet issues. Support mode activated! Long term renters at one villa had issues yesterday due to bandwidth cap. I got that resolved, but then today they had more connection issues. This time I had to move the router a couple feet (back to where it originally was) to get it to connect. Second issue was another villa, just rebooted the router and all was good.

Pools

So I kinda accidentally went for a swim today. While skimming a pool the pole hit a pillar and I went right into the water. Wallet and phone in pocket. Luckily I have my phone in a Lifeproof case, so it’s okay. I had to jump back in cause I left the pole at the bottom of the pool in my hurry to get out.

Being the amazing pool technician I am, I’ve been slacking on taking care of our pool. It was just really demoralizing when I would keep working on the pool and it would’t get any better. So instead it got A LOT worse. I’ve begun to rectify that though, shocked the pool yesterday, vacuumed it today. Will keep working on it and this time I won’t stop!

Factorio

So, today’s FFF announced that it’s possible the new version of Factorio will be available in just over a week. When that update hits, I’m totally starting over. This time I’ll be playing with biters off (or at least minimized). I should spend some time preparing, playing with new train network ideas since this last one was no good. I just wish you didn’t have to mod the game to make trains smarter.

Arduino

When I moved here, I brought with me one of many Creation Crates I have. It is a monthly maker subscription box based around Arduino projects. The one I brought was supposed to be an alarm clock. Somehow I either lost or never received the seven segment display. Not that I care to actually make an alarm clock. I really wish I had more components here. Next time I go back to Atlanta I’ll need to grab components.

Featured Image

Today’s featured image is another sunrise. I was captivated by the colors in the sky when I woke up. First thing I did was snap this picture.
