The Wrong Way

Work

A bit of work this morning. Started with some running around in preparation for arrivals tomorrow. We dropped a welcome package off at one villa and checked its condition. Once we were satisfied we headed off to another villa to grab laundry from the guests who departed yesterday.

Then it was a trip to the construction supplier. We picked up what is needed to do the electrical for the new laundry room that is being added to a villa. It didn’t all fit in the car, so a 20 foot piece of PVC had to ride on the roof. Yeah, I did that thing were it’s not strapped down at all and I was just holding it with my hand.

Factorio

Between breakfast and working I got a bit more time in Factorio. My nuclear power plant is now operational! I’m ready to continue expanding my mega base, although I have a feeling it still isn’t going to be as good as I was hoping. We’ll just have to see how it goes.

I’ve spent a good long while trying to get my train log under control. So far it’s been pretty messy but I’m starting to understand Factorio logic circuits better. I’ve begun adding combinators to disable stations when there’s a train already there and also only have it enabled when there’s a reason for a train to stop by.

Of course, I’ve only got the most basic materials running across the trains so far. I have a smeltery for copper, iron, and steel. I’ve got assembly areas setup for iron gear wheels and copper cables. And I’ve got my nuclear reactor on the railway as well. Maybe next I should work on oil.

The more I play with my rail network the more it just doesn’t seem right. I think the biggest issue is that I was using gun turrets and had to drop off ammo. Now that I can use lasers I need to stop with the damned guns and roll our lasers. I am having a steel/iron issue though so that will be a bit difficult. In the long run it will cut down on my iron usage though.

Stardew Valley

Another few days on the farm. Not a whole lot has changed though, my crops are growing, my animals are happy, and my friendships are slowly growing. I really need to start working the villagers more. I’m at the point now that the community center only has the bulletin board left to fill and that won’t happen during spring.

Today’s featured image is of Fallen Jerusalem Island. I thought the way the whole scene is set just looked amazing.
