Solo Pool Service

Pools

So, today was my first day taking care of pools alone. It started out okay, first pool was pretty easy. Gave it a good thorough scrub. Checked levels, added some chemicals. All was well. Then I drove down the hill to the second house. Nothing special there. Same good, thorough scrub. Checked levels, added some chemicals.

Third pool was a pain. Just starting to turn green a little, lots of scrubbing and vacuuming. Threw in a few chlorine tabs since the chlorinator is broken. All else was good, pool looks nice.

Then I came home to work on our pool, and that’s the worst of them all. It is seriously going green. Still green after dropping two chlorine tabs in yesterday. I threw one into the pump, dropped another (on top of the two already there) into the skimmer, and for good measure put one in the lower pool.

Scrubbed that bitch good too, vacuumed the whole damned thing. You could see where I had vacuumed versus where I hadn’t yet. Of course, all that green didn’t get captured, so it’s all circulating again for a while. Hopefully I can get this thing to turn around.

More Work

The hard work didn’t end there. Next up was moving furniture next door. The roommate’s man is coming in for a week starting tomorrow and they’ll be staying next door for a day or two when he arrives. Gotta have the furniture out and looking good. . .

After that it was heading to another nearby villa to move more furniture as well as put some together. Took a while, especially since two of the pieces (we put together two tables and two chairs) were a total pain. The screws were really long and towards the end they just were nearly impossible to turn.

Today’s featured image was taken around sunset. I liked the way the setting sun caused the cloud to appear outlined while the cloud remained dark.
