Work
We have guests arriving today, so we headed out this morning to do final prep. Just a simple welcome package with what we could get from the store. Opened up the villa, turned on fans, stuff like that.
Once we were done there, we headed to the villa from last night. The police were able to locate the other person involved and they removed their stuff. We stopped by to check the place out and lock it up. All is well there now.
Yoshi’s Crafted World
So I downloaded the demo of Yoshi’s Crafted World. The game seems pretty cool, but I’m not sure if it’s for me. I liked Super Mario Odyssey, but didn’t play it that much. Yoshi kind of reminds me of that. Totally different, but similar. I’m sure I’d like the game, just don’t know how long it would hold my attention.
Stardew Valley
Finally got my second house upgrade! Took me many visits to the secret woods to collect the amount of hardwood needed but it’s finally done. Now that it’s complete, I think I might just tell Robin to head back over to my farm and do another house upgrade. I also just found out about the auto-grabber and got one installed in my barn. Life on the farm is looking good!
The Talk
The roommate and I had a frank talk tonight about my lackluster performance of late. I’ll admit, I’ve been slacking and not doing as good a job as I can. My biggest issue though, this is all so different from everything I’ve experienced in my working life. It’s quite an adjustment being in the role I am and I’m having a hard time with it. Part of it is my impostor syndrome, part is depression, part is just a lack of experience. I’m working on it though, I will improve!
After the talk I already got started. I made some notes and reminders for myself. And this morning I’ve been acting on them. It’s not much yet, but I must keep it up. It can be hard to be motivated, it can be hard to look at things in a different light than you’re used to. Let’s hope this old dog can learn some new tricks.
